Mayurchandra began his journey at Parexel as an intern and has grown into a full-time Senior Clinical Operations Assistant.

He shares his journey, daily responsibilities, and insights into how Parexel prioritizes patient care.

What does a typical day in your role look like?

My day typically begins with managing emails from various stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, and study sites. I support clinical studies through eTMF maintenance, vendor management, payments, and site management activities. I also take pride in mentoring junior COAs and enhancing our processes.

How do you find value in the challenges you face?

Every day presents unique challenges, keeping my work engaging and dynamic. From resolving eTMF queries to expediting pending invoices, I’m constantly seeking creative solutions. My core responsibilities involve filing documents in the eTMF system, managing site activities, and resolving any issues that arise.

Career Pathways: Insights and Aspirations

If you could swap roles with anyone in the company for a day, who would it be and why?

I would love to experience a day in the life of a Clinical Research Associate (CRA). This role provides the chance to engage directly in on-site monitoring visits and collaborate with investigators and clients, aligning with my career goals.

What advice would you give to new Clinical Operations Assistants?

For those starting as a COA, know you’re embarking on a rewarding path. At Parexel, you’ll be surrounded by talented individuals who will inspire you to grow. My advice is to seize every learning opportunity and consistently strive for improvement.

During my daily commute, I enjoy various podcasts, with Joe Rogan being a favorite. I also recommend reading “Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind.” It offers fascinating insights and encourages meaningful conversations.
