This is a hybrid position in our Durham location.

Job Introduction:

At Parexel, we are a leading Clinical Research Organization company specializing in delivering life-changing medicines to patients. We are seeking a Senior Finops Engineer – Azure Solutions to join our team. As a Senior Finops Engineer, you will play a critical in developing, maintaining, and supporting cost management practices, develop cost optimization, recommend rightsizing, create, and implement management models for the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering department. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our projects and help us drive innovation.

Who we are looking for:

Motivated individuals with proven experience working as a Finops Engineer – Aure Solutions or in a similar role. Who are passionate and knowledgeable of Azure environments as well Finops methodology. That possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills while demonstrating impeccable communication skills.

What you’ll do:

• Collect data from various sources to gain insights into cloud usage and spending pattern focusing on reporting, anomaly detection, benchmarking, cost allocation, tags, forecasting, and budgeting. 
• Identify and act on opportunities to optimize cloud spending while delivering the same level of performance based on the insights gained from the inform phase.
• Establish a framework for ongoing cloud cost management and cloud governance so we can maintain optimal cloud usage and cost efficiency over the long term.

Additional details:

5+ years’ experience within a large hybrid Azure Infrastructure eco system and Finops methodology experience is required. B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree or industry experience. Certification in Azure Administration (AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator) or similar is highly desirable.
